
Meiqin Liu (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in control theory and control engineering from Central South University, Changsha, China, in 1994 and 1999, respectively.,She was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, from 1999 to 2001. She was a Visiting Scholar with The University of New Orleans, New Orleans, LA, USA, from 2008 to 2009. She was a Professor with the College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, from 2001 to 2021. She is currently a Professor with the School of Electronics and Information Engineering and the National Key Laboratory of Human-Machine Hybrid Augmented Intelligence, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China. Her current research interests include the theory and application of artificial intelligence, multisensor networks, information fusion, and nonlinear systems.

From September 2000 to June 2004, he studied Automation at the National University of Defense Technology, and received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree upon graduation in June 2004. From September 2004 to January 2010, he pursued graduate studies in the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, and was awarded both a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) and a Doctor of Engineering (Ph.D.) degree in January 2010. During this period, from August 2008 to August 2009, he was sponsored by the Chinese government for overseas study at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of New Orleans, USA. He joined Xi'an Jiaotong University in February 2010, where he successively served as Lecturer, Associate Professor, Professor, Second-Level Professor, and "Leading Scholar" at the School of Automation, Faculty of Electronic and Information Engineering. Since 2018, he has successively served as Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Vice Dean of the School of Future Technology and the School of Modern Industry, Executive Deputy Director (at the division-chief level) of the National Energy Storage Technology Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform (Center), and Dean of the Low-Altitude Regulatory Research Institute at Xi'an Jiaotong University. In March 2026, he was appointed Vice President of Lanzhou University.

Badong Chen received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in control theory and engineering from Chongqing University, in 1997 and 2003, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and technology from Tsinghua University in 2008. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher with Tsinghua University from 2008 to 2010, and a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Florida Computational NeuroEngineering Laboratory (CNEL) during the period October, 2010 to September, 2012. In 2015, he visited the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as a visiting research scientist. He also served as a senior research fellow with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2017. Currently he is a professor at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (IAIR), Xi’an Jiaotong University. His research interests are in signal processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, neural engineering and robotics.
